Helga - Aa BB C- dd Ee
Huge Opal French Lop Doe carrying Self (Steel Free). From Mona Cawdron's lines/Dutch Imports
Helga (or Ecky Thump) is a very chunky bunny with absolutely increadable head for a doe. She is an Opal bred from a UK Agouti Buck and Black Self Doe from dutch lines. As an Opal she is steel free. Helga either carries Chin or Rew. I will find out for sure this winter when I test mate her to a REW. Depending on what she carries she will be used to improve the size and type of my Otters or Foxes. I adore Helga, she is a real character and a fantastic mum who loves her cuddles. She also loves Heidi our GSD.
Bunnylane's Mocha - ata BB C- Dd E-
A nice Black Otter Doe from Willow and Stella. Mocha has good tanning and is a good size and shape. She was slow to mature, but as you can see in these pics taken at 8 months, she is turning into a very substantial and solid doe. I am particularly pleased that she has retained her very black face. Many black otters develop a smudgey looking face as they mature. I think black otters only really look at their best as adults. When young their colour seems to take away from their overall look, then all of a sudden they turn into gorgeous looking adults. Mocha's coat shines like a new pin, as you can see in the pics.
Mocha took a 2nd and a 3rd in her first show (4 Star). I am really proud of her!! To be honest she was quite immature when shown, so I was surprised she took anything. She has really blossomed since then, and is now a very solid doe. Mocha also has a very sweet nature. and is a delight to own.

Agouti Doe - Carrying Self - bred by Hamptons Stud out of Elliot lines
Willow is an Agouti doe bred from a Blue Self Buck and an Agouti Doe. I am hoping Willow will improve the size, coat and tanning of my future otters. I suspect she is CC and EE as she did not produce any non extension or chin babies when mated to Stella who carried chin and was was Ee. A test mate over the winter to a REW buck will help confirm the C locus.
The picture below shows Willow at 3 months old. As you can see she wasn't huge at 3 months. Willow is one of those rabbits who developed slowly but just kept growing and growing. By the time she was 9 months she was massive, and in her best condition is a huge chunk of a doe! Willow is a real character who is always looking for a boyfriend - on an odd occasion she has scaled a 6ft wall in pursuit of him!!
