| Guiness is a Black Otter carrying chocolate. He has grown to be quite a good size Frenchie. His mum was a huge REW so he must have taken his size from her. His dad was a Chocolate Otter. Guiness has exceptionally good tanning. The real bonus is I know (given the REW in his lines) he is 100% clear of chin. He is also completely unrelated to Mocha.
Mocha is my first home bred Black Otter. She has lovely colouring and has nice pattern managing, to keep her very black face. Mocha, like Guiness, has a very nice nature. I am hoping Mocha is clear of chin. I will know for sure if she produces any REWs to Guiness. I have learned REW is good in Otter breeding : ) for the simple reason it is recessive to Chin so is a good cleaner.

| Blue boy at 7 Weeks.
Kits at 3 Weeks.
The two Opals say hi to each other : )
Kits at 2 Weeks. Top super Blue Self . Lovely rich deep blue colour just like his dad. And chunky big Opal below so like mum.
Meet the parents...
Bear is a lovely steel free Blue Self Buck. I have shown him once at Lanark 4 Star show, and he beat strong competition to win both his classes. He has matured further since then. He has a lovely head and crown just like his dad, and is a very good size. These kits should be stunning. Any Selfs will be steel free. Helga you have met before... What more can you say! I have a waiting list for these kits but there be some available. I will let you know later. If you are interested and can guarantee to give a Frenchie a good home drop me an e-mail on bunnylanelops@fsmail.net and we can have a chat.

| Meet the parents...
Stella you know about...
Willow came all the way up from Worcester, from Hampton Lops. I waited 6 months for Willow. She is an Agouti carrying Self so very useful for Otter breeding and for breeding steel free selfs. Willows mum is an Elliot bred Doe. Her dad is a very handsome Blue Self. Willow is a huge stamp of a Frenchie, I am hopeful she is CC and EE. She produced a nice litter to Stella. Willow has the size, and Stella the head and crown. Luck would have it they gave me what I had hoped for! See Bear above...I also have a lovely Black Otter doe from this litter called Mocha. Mocha will be bred from in mid 2010 when she is 9 or 10 months old. My plans to improve Otters in french lops are well under way. |
| Meet the parents... Stella's best bits. His beautiful nature, his shoulders, chunky cobby body type, and his head and crown. He is an all round very nice rabbit. Stella was Fox bred. His mum a Blue Fox was bred by Clementine Stud and was owned by Shirley at Lancashire Lops. His dad a lovely Blue Otter (Balu), was exported to Holland in the summer of 08 and had the same head and crown as Stella. Unfortunately, Stella's tanning is paler than ideal for showing. I needed to breed out the chin so the tanning would be better whilst retaining his type and beautiful head. He also carried non-extension (e). Helga is an Opal Doe who carries Self so is ideal for Otter breeding and for producing steel free selfs. Helga was bred by and picked out by Mona Cawdron as a youngster for me; I waited patiently for many months until the right doe came along but she was worth the wait. She is a very loving bunny but is also a strong personality , she has a fantastic head and crown, good size, and a lovely coat. In the litter they produced some unusual Beige Otters. This told me Helga also carries non extension. I did not keep any of the litter (silly me). |
| Meet the parents... The beginning... Stella my stunning Blue Otter Buck. Having bought Amber early in 2008 as a pet I thought I would buy her a companion, a nice Blue Otter doe, hence the name Stella. Everything I read said it would be hard to introduce 2 does, but they took to each other immediately. Well they would: it turned out Stella was a fella! So my breeding of French lops really began by accident. Amber my beautiful Fawn Doe. A nice big Frenchie with so much character. Having learned from litter 1 that Amber would never produce Otters, the plan was she would not be bred again. Unfortunately, whilst hubby and I were away on holiday, Amber and Stella met up. Hmmm... Litter number 2 arrived as a complete surprise to me and confirmed what I already knew. Amber has not been bred from again and is now living happily with Jaqueline as a much loved pet. I still miss her. |
